The Importance of Budgeting

One of the most important things first responders need to understand is what to do with their income.  Too many get overwhelmed with debt needing so much overtime to cover the bills they never see their families.

Budgeting isn’t as insane as you think it is and can be the single biggest impact you can have on yourself and your family.

Let’s be honest, running out of money at the end of the month is a clear emergency!

Listen to the guys talk about their own experiences dealing with debt, working overtime, and dealing with the spouses to cover some of these important topics:

  • Budgeting doesn’t have to be difficult, there’s an app for that
  • Being honest with yourself isn’t easy, there will be sacrifices
  • The feeling of just knowing what money is coming in and what money is going out is amazing

So subscribe, drop a review and have a listen to the podcast that covers all emergencies on and off the job!

Don’t forget to send us your questions using Speakpipe!  It’s that little blue icon on our homepage that will record your question, format it and send it to us automatically.  If we like your question we’ll use it on an episode of ASK WYE!

Ready for more?  In two weeks, the guys talk to Nick Daugherty (aka Financial Cop) to talk about what to do with your money now that your on a budget and on your way out of debt!
