A Solution to Every First Responder’s Problems – The Mic Loop

Picture yourself back in the 90’s where your hosts got started.  We didn’t have any of this new fangled gear…

GPS maps…heck we used Thomas Guides.

Internet lookup of a new medication…we had to know it solid.

Radio mic getting tangled with a suspect or combative patient?  Our radios were on our hips!

Dealing with the mic cord has become an art in the first responder universe with Fire using leather straps (right?!), EMS wrapping the cord behind their backs onto their collars and PD pretty much stuck with whatever fits on the polo shirt, or kevlar, or uniform…depends apparently.

The guest on today’s show has the answer to “why is my radio mic strap suddenly in the suspect’s handcuffs and about to choke me to death?!”

Nick from the Mic Loop share his insights on:

  • The design and how it is born from field work, not a think tank behind a desk
  • versatility of placement and color coding to match any Supervisor’s dress code standards (What color is Midnight Justice after all?)
  • and how a cop starting a small business handles family, work and a side gig

HM and MC are offering a Mic Loop giveaway!  Follow THIS LINK for details on how to join the contest and get a Mic Loop to try!  Like you’ll hear in the show, Nick wants your feedback to make his product even better!
