WYE Venting- Astroworld Needle Walkback and an angry neighbor confronts MC

Podchaser - What’s Your Emergency

EXPLICIT WARNING – This episode contains foul language. Listener discretion is advised.

No doubt by now you’ve seen something about the eight dead and dozens injured at a music festival in Houston, TX, called Astroworld. Recent reporting now says another victim, a 9 year old boy, has succumbed to his injuries. You probably have the same question we did last week about “who takes a 14-year-old to this kind of event?” However, the guys get into a heated discussion (you’ll find out why Jason is so fired up this week later in the show) when Justin tells him that the HPD’s original story about the needle in the security guard was proven to be false. How was it proven? Someone found the security guard and asked him.

A fiery discussion about responsibility of first responders, middle managers and administrators follows as well as a reminder that firemen and cops can still get along when they disagree.

After that the guys jump into another heated topic, “Let’s Go Brandon.”

You may be surprised to see which one of the hosts thinks it’s funny.

Wrapping up the show, after Justin finally finds the third beer fridge for a bit of refreshment, Jason shares the tale of what happened the day before we recorded when an angry neighbor decided to rip down Jason’s property and scream in his face.

Can you imagine screaming in a Motorcop’s face? Jason presents the situation and what he did and asks Justin, as well as the audience, what they would have done, channeling the old Monday Night Football segment “You make the call!”

This week the guys tackle:

  • How much evidence a PIO should have before making a claim like the needle stick
  • Was the story a failure to communicate or an organized misinformation campaign
  • Why “Let’s Go Brandon” and its origins are amusing
  • What the name of Jason’s new garage band might be
