The Importance of Initial Radio Traffic – Surfside, FL Condo Collapse





The Florida community of Surfside is still reeling from the sudden collapse of an condo building overnight a few days ago leaving 150 people presumed dead. While many news outlets are finding new security footage, as first responders we can learn a lot from talking to the responders first in on these scenes.
While they may pop up at a conference in a year or two, being able to listen to their initial report can be a learning experience in itself. This week the guys do exactly that. Here’s a video from Miami News 7 which put together the initial radio traffic:
