Be Careful What You Ask (Chant) For – Minneapolis and Beyond Part II

The death of George Floyd at the hands (knee) of a Minneapolis Police Officer has touched off a powder keg of emotions, protests, riots and political tap dancing. A few weeks back, your hosts dove into the cause of the unrest, the killing of George Floyd which touched off protests, rallies, looting and, unfortunately, rioting.

While the media told tales of entire cities under Antifa rule and others who had snapped down tight on protesters, the bulk of the Nation sat at home still under shelter in place from the pandemic known as Covid-19.

Today, the guys discuss civil unrest as a member of public safety and how rioting doesn’t solve anything and looting doesn’t solve anything and massive protests doesn’t solve anything and taking a knee doesn’t solve anything…

but here we are anyway. This week get our take on:

  • Civil unrest and how this isolated incident maybe isn’t as isolated as some would like it to be
  • How breaking windows at the auto parts store doesn’t seem to line up with the stated purpose of the march
  • Will Law Enforcement in general rally behind the phrase “America, we’re leaving”?
  • What does a guy holding Lego at a looted store tell us about mob mentality, group think and what Lego did soon after Minneapolis erupted in chaos

Whether you’re a bleeding heart liberal, a God fearing conservative or a rabid follower of Ayn Rand, the facts don’t change: We can do better as a society and this week we learn how. No, seriously. We do.
